Learning to Fly

Welcome to my blog (and first blog post... ever!). Not really sure how these things go, or what to write about; hoping to talk about my experiences throughout euro-tripping and 'living in lund' (as per the blog URL).

As life in Melbourne is drawing to a close, I'm not sure what to expect on this trip. I think one word can sum up my sentiments and that word is 'BITTERSWEET'.

I'm going to miss family and friends here - Some I have already said goodbye to, others I'll probably be squeezing in just before I leave, and others still we probably haven't even found time for an official goodbye. Apologies to all the people I wanted to see more of.

The last year or so has been busy times for me. Anyone who knows me in any capacity can attest to the fact that I've always got something going on; whether it's Masters keeping me up late finishing assignments, job applications/interviews, tutoring/marking (with an awesome group of students), gigs, business placements, ORGANISING EXCHANGE!, committee work (with an awesome group of marketers), etc.

But now, seven months of living and travelling overseas. It's definitely nothing like I've experienced before (sure, I've travelled a fair bit for holidays, but this is different). I'm excited, ready to take on any and all opportunities and new experiences. I know there'll be amazing times, I know there'll probably be times when things turn to shit, and I know (good or bad) they'll all be unforgettable experiences, and I'll be here to blog the tale - I hope.

So, goodbye, see you later from the other side of the world!
